About Us

Mark Ewert

From 1998 to 2008, Mark Ewert advanced from manager to director, then to the executive team at the national American Lung Association, serving as the CEO of an affiliated professional organization. During this time his roles also changed -- from implementing fundraising directly, to training nonprofessionals to raise money for the organization using their passion for the mission, to consulting and coaching other professionals to strategize, plan, and execute effective fundraising strategies, to providing staff and volunteers with learning opportunities in all areas of work – including their own professional development.

During this same time period, Mr. Ewert has been a leader in building a culture of financial generosity at All Souls Church Unitarian (Washington, DC). He formed the Development Ministry Team, which coordinated and oversaw all fundraising in the church, and served as its chairman until 2005. More recently, Mr. Ewert has twice served as the co-chair of the church’s annual pledge campaign and now has been sanctioned by the Unitarian Universalist Association to consult with congregations throughout the USA.

As a leadership coach, Mr. Ewert is an expert listener, a careful observer, and a challenging questioner. This helps his clients, like you, to find the greater clarity of vision, superior resilience, and increased energy you need to be truly authentic and effective leaders. He was trained and certified through the Leadership Coaching Program at Georgetown University. He is a member of the International Coaching Federation, operates under its Code of Ethics, and is a candidate for international certification.
